New resolutions. Talk to God about them. Let Him direct you in them. Keep Him in the center of each one of them. Use them for His glory. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” New relationships. Some are no longer with us. Others will come into our lives. All will change with time. Bring God’s love, understanding, patience and forgiveness to every relationship. Let Him give you a new heart for the New Year. Ephesians 4:31-32 “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.” New dreams, hope and promise. Don’t let the past keep you from moving forward. Seek what the Lord wants for you. Know that He has plans for you and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” New opportunities. Keep watch for them. Be bold, courageous and wise. Stretch your faith in new ways. Ephesians 5:15-17 “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” New challenges. Great or small, meet them with God’s help. His power and strength will carry you through everything. Never give up on Him. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” New victories. Look for God to do things you cannot imagine. With Him all things are possible. We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Greater is He who is in you than He who is in the world. Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
