Last year, Fox & Friends showed a clip of Michael Bloomberg’s speech at the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation dinner at the Waldorf Astoria. Alluding to Donald Trump’s rise to the top of the Republican primary field, as well as his own dashed bids for the White House, Bloomberg said, “I’ve always said that the country is not ready for a divorced, Jewish billionaire from New York City. But after watching a divorced, Christian billionaire from New York City shoot to the top of the polls, I’ve decided to become a candidate, for baptism.”

I recently met Jeff at a Gospel Meeting. Because he committed adultery, his wife divorced him. He went into a great depression and started drinking. In time, he found himself in a dump of a hotel room with nothing left to his name but four beers in the refrigerator. That was all he wanted because it was the only thing that helped him forget everything.

There are many proofs of His resurrection. For example, the record of the many eyewitnesses of Jesus’ resurrection, the beginning of His church and the new-found faith of His apostles, the unwavering faith of first century Christians even in the face of persecution and the conversion of the persecutor of the church, Saul, into the faithful preacher of the gospel, Paul.

It was about 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday as my wife and I traveled to Bible class. I told her to look at all the kids playing soccer. A big rain had come through earlier. It was cold and damp. I was amazed to see the parking lot full of cars and so many parents in the stands and on the sidelines cheering their children on. I remarked to my wife how the parents could get their children fed, dressed and to the ballpark so early on such a dreary Sunday morning.
