Our congregation is divided into two groups led by different elders with the assistance of deacons. These groups meet in our Annex to share a lunch, discuss the needs of their group, sign cards of encouragement and comfort, make assignments to visit or call on our visitors, and to offer prayer for all. The goal is to better watch out and care for each other in the church, as well as to reach out to others. Group A meets on every first Sunday and group B on every third Sunday after our morning worship.
We also use this time for our New Members Meet & Greet. All new members are invited to join their Care Group meetings each month so that we can get to know each other better.
1 Thessalonians 5:11-18 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
