Have you been offended?
We all offend one another. We should not want to and should try not to, but sometimes we do; sometimes without even realizing it. When we see that we have offended someone it should make us feel very bad. We should apologize and ask their forgiveness. We should try and make it right. We should try and be careful not to make the same mistake again, yet sometimes we do.
We should be forgiving towards one another, though some will never forgive. We should go to those we have offended to make things right with them. We should go to those who have offended us to make things right with them. If we refuse to admit our offenses and do not do what we can to make it right, we cannot be forgiven. If we refuse to forgive one another, we cannot be forgiven. We must always be ready and willing to forgive, but forgiveness can only be received if we are truly penitent.
We should not hold a grudge, nor harbor any hatred, wrath or envy in our hearts but remember that our pain and the pain we cause one another does not go unnoticed by the Lord. We should endure those who offend us in everything without vengeance or retaliation and leave it to God knowing that He will always do what is right. We should love those who offend us by praying for them, blessing them and doing good to them because we are the children of God. We should forgive as we have been forgiven by the Lord.
